With the reinvigoration of Music Technology in my life and the full-time responsibilities of a Music Educator I was very fortunate to present at the Music Technology in Education Conference this past April. Along with the wonderful music education and technology presentations from Katie Wardrobe, James Humberstone and James Frankel of MusicFirst, I was asked to deliver workshops on iBooks Author, Reason by Propellerheads.se in Education, Film Scoring with Sibelius and much more. Go here for my presentations of click on the image below.I felt the entire conference was not only worthwhile in learning from other educators, but I was able to upgrade my own thinking in regards to other software platforms in Education like Ableton Live. Watching how this software provided a new way to harness creativity inspired me to get the PUSH and LIVE to start building it into my teaching.

MTEC2013 Presentation, Melbourne Australia. Made with Hype

What was common amongst all the presenters (besides the constant tweeting) was a drive to learn, build on that learning and then to find ways of re-creating that love of learning with our students. I want to see more of this in Music Education.
